
Computer-Based Testing Tutorial
The computer-based testing tutorial provides the opportunity for test takers to learn how to navigate through the test followed by the opportunity to practice taking a demonstration test.

Guided Tour
The first part of the tutorial is the Guided Tour. This section demonstrates all of the functions that you will use when taking the computer-based test including: how to answer questions, change answers, make notes and mark questions for review.
Demo Test
The second part of the tutorial is the Demo Test. This section will give you an opportunity to become familiar with the operations of the computer-based test. The content of the questions is not scientific, but it does provide the opportunity to use all of the functions to enter responses, view visuals and exhibits, scroll pages and review items. Examples of each type of function are shown. Some of the functions will be used in your test, while others will not.

System Requirements
All computers at Pearson Professional Centers are Windows-based PCs.
- Windows-based PC with at least 64 MB of RAM. Macintosh computers are not supported.
- Pentium processor
- 10 MB available hard disk space
- Video resolution set to 800 x 600 or higher
Please Note: Some virus scan software may disable the auto launch capability of the tutorial. If this happens, you will need to launch the demo manually by navigating to the saved location of the folder (DemoTest) and then double clicking on the file “DemoTest.exe” within that folder.
Download Instructions
Internet Explorer
When you click Download & Play Tutorial, a “File Download” box will appear.

Click Open or Run and the windows application will download to your PC. Once the installation completes, the guided tour and tutorial will open automatically and you may begin.
Mozilla FireFox
When you click Download & Play Tutorial, an “Opening DemoTest.exe” box will appear.

Click Save File and designate a place on your PC to save the file. Navigate to this location and open “DemoTest.exe”. (You may want to save the file to your desktop so that you quickly find it.) Once the installation completes, the guided tour and tutorial will open automatically and you may begin.
